Home Inspections in Grays Harbor County

I provide professional home inspections throughout Grays Harbor County, from Aberdeen and Hoquiam to Montesano, Ocean Shores, Westport and the surrounding communities.

Every home is different. My job is to take a close look, explain what I find in straightforward terms, and help you better understand the property you're buying.

Homes Around Here Come in All Kinds

Grays Harbor has a little bit of everything: older homes in Aberdeen and Hoquiam, rural properties around Montesano and Elma, manufactured homes, newer construction and coastal properties from Ocean Shores to Westport.

Our Western Washington climate also gives an inspector plenty to pay attention to. Moisture, drainage, roofing, siding, crawlspaces and ventilation can all tell you something about how a home has been performing over time. I inspect the accessible systems and components of the home, explain what I find in straightforward terms, and help you understand which items may deserve a closer look.

A Few Things I Pay Close Attention to Around Grays Harbor

With our wet climate, I look closely at grading, gutters, drainage and visible signs of moisture around the home.

Accessible crawlspaces are checked for visible moisture, damaged materials, insulation concerns and other conditions that may need attention.

Roofing, flashing, siding, trim and exterior penetrations all play a role in keeping Western Washington weather outside.

Homes closer to the coast get additional exposure to wind, rain and salt air, which can affect exterior materials and components over time.
